Nintendo Rejected Microsoft’s, Sony’s Motion-Sensing Technologies

Satoru Iwata, the president of Nintendo, said that the company has tried technologies that enable motion-sensing game controllers recently announced by Microsoft Corp. and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., but rejected them since existing technology that power Wiimote proved to be more accurate.

The First Computer Bug

Today i was searching internet for diffrent funny anecdotes in compputer/technology field and found this on a website:
American naval officer and mathematician Grace Murray Hopper helped develop the first commercially available high-level software language, FLOW-MATIC, in 1957. Hopper is credited for inventing the term bug, which indicates a computer malfunction; in 1945 she discovered a hardware failure in the Mark II computer caused by a moth trapped between its mechanical relays. She documented the event in her laboratory notebook, and the term eventually came to represent any computer error, including one based strictly on incorrect instructions in software. Hopper taped the moth into her notebook and wrote, “First actual case of a bug being found.”

11 Year Old graduate.

The world is getting wierd seriously.
Just came across this on msnbc.
here are the details:

Moshe Kai Cavalin, 11, graduated with honors Friday from East Los Angeles College, but he'd rather you not call him a genius.

"I consider myself a regular kid who works hard and does his best," says this only child of a Taiwanese mother and an Israeli father.

When Moshe started college at the age of 8, he may have been the youngest person in class, but he ended up tutoring some of his 19- and 20-year-old classmates in math and science.

palm pre on sale now !

We just got to witness history, folks: Alfredo Rodriguez waited an hour in the miserable New York rain for the privilege of snapping up his Sprint store's very first retail Pre at this evening's invite-only Premier customers event. The man paid in cold hard cash, and after a tedious 40 minute purchase process that involved a bit of activation, some nice tutorials, a quick address book sideload from his old Touch Diamond and whole lot of peripheral upsell, Alfredo was one of the world's first satisfied Pre customers. The last time we saw him Alfredo was still playing with his new phone, and gives the device two thumbs up. He's particularly digging the keyboard -- what Touch Diamond user wouldn't? -- and the flip-up mirror. Word on the street was that there were about 80 units available at the store, but while we couldn't squeeze an official number out of Sprint, they did confirm that they'll have units available for the launch tomorrow as well. Be sure to let us know how your own local launch treats you!

Apple's plan to allow developers to add in-app payments to applications sold through its iPhone App Store could be the next game-changing step the company takes as it charges ahead in the mobile market.

Apple announced the new feature at the iPhone OS 3.0 preview event in March. And next week at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco the company is expected to announce the release dates for the software upgrade. C-Net News
